Concerning the H&Q comments on the downgrade and Fiddler's response.

H&Q: Most customers we spoke with expressed an
interest in upgrading based on new target chip support and some newer third-
party BSPs (Board Support Packages) but only a handful have actually
bought Tornado II and in limited quantities.

JF: Upgrades to Tornado by existing customers would have "no revenue impact to us," Fiddler said, explaining that current Tornado users would receive Tornado II for free as part the annual maintenance contract they sign with Wind River.

H&Q: With three weeks left in the quarter, we believe TMS is
still in beta and likely won't ship for another 2-3 months.

JF: Fiddler said the version of the Tornado software for the telecommunication
industry is "on schedule," adding that "nothing has happened that would lead
us to change our own internal revenue estimates," for that product.

Something is big time amiss here! First off how could H&Q completely miss the fact that Wind gets no revenue from the upgrades. Unless Jerry isn't being completely honest? Can anyone confirm this? Secondly, The analyst didn't mention how he came about his conclusion that TMS was behind schedule. Anyone have an idea where he might have gotten his info from, and whether or not it could be true. The big question it seems to me is who do you believe? Having in the past been mislead by CEO claims, I am very skeptical. If Fiddler is wrong, I don't see how anyone could have much faith at all in management. In any event, someone has missed the boat big time.
