james, OFF TOPIC....I have a hard time believing that the market will respond positively to this news on MPV....IMO, the market learned its lesson when it drove Glenmore up to $8.00 on big diamonds before waiting for evaluations...Frankly, I am dissappointed in the level of disclosure....the news is hardly material in the context of previous results..... For example, why not disclose the average value per carat? Winspear has demonstrated that the turnaround on evaluations can be quick.....if anyone could provide a quick evaluation, I would think it is DeBeers......tonnage: what kind of tonnage? drill proven, indicated or inferred?....what about scoping studies? these pipes are for the most part in a lake.....will the lake be drained? will they have to build dams like at Diavik?.....the pipes are relatively small and strung out like beads on a string. How much will this impact mining costs by?.....Who in their right mind would step up and buy MPV on Monday, especially with all the people that have been trapped in the stock with very little liquidity lately? Are there diferent reporting standards for seniors like DeBeers and junior resource companies? IMO, A written complaint to the exchanges and commissions is in order here....I think there will be lots of folks heading for the exits......As you know from my profile, I short from time to time. I will be checking with my broker to see how much MPV is on the books that I may be able to borrow for a short sale, if there is a decent uptick:-))...... good luck and regards, teevee |
