You have the key in your hand. If all Americans who are now
sitting in judgement of every politician compliments of the
Media, could pick a foreign country and take a tour of that country (many foreign governments will accept guests) it
would change their life forever. Europeans are astonished at
our behavior. Middle Easterners are either unaware of what is
now happening here or think we are crazy people. Africans
are just coming out of bondage and are working on their own economy. We certainly are looked upon with questions and rightfully so, I cannot speak for the Orient but my Son travels there and he tells me that they are too busy working to care.
We have very few credible politicians left due to our "loud mouth" rambling, often "without benefit of brain" certainly
without compassion. Do you think the framers of the constitution
had to tolerate this "ranting" or the writers of the Declaration of Independence? Do you believe they ever though any politician would? They saw a "big picture" Americans are stuck in in rut'
They cannot "See the forest for the trees" Since I elected to
join this Coffee Shop' I have found a group who are starved for
truth but when most found it, they could not recognize it.
As I have said before I have been on this planet a lot of years
I have spent most of my life in and out of D.C. I have seen much
but I do not profess to know it all, however it has given me a front row seat to a lot of American History. I chose to be Educated in
Politics. My late husband was for most of his life an FBI Agent.
My first Employer was J.Edgar Hoover. who met and spoke to all
new employees. This gave me a total new perspective on our
nation. In 1960 the mood of this Country changed (See my first
comments) The youth of this nation were given the opportunity
to get a college education. "Free Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll"
became the battle cry of the youth. The opportunists are always
lurking about. If you look at American History from that day
forward, you can see where we are heading. The Indian culture
was destroyed because the young braves would not listen to their elders. Are we any different today? How far are we behind the Indians. I recently visited my grandson, who has a friend who just came from China. I spoke to this youth and learned that he speaks four dialects of Mandarin Chinese, and in the past
two years he has learned to speak English. How many languages do American children speak? How many American children could go to China and learn the language?
We are a Nation of Immigrants. That is the only reason we have prospered. Every race, creed and color has made a wonderful contribution. I have great faith in our national heritage, I believe
that we are moving forward at breakneck speed toward a brave, wonderful new world. All of the anger, hatred and violence will
fade away and we will move on. We tend to get caught up in
issues that we know little about and can do nothing about. I call it "Raldoing" It seems that Heraldo is the ongoing "mouthpiece" for dissention and he has many followers. All things are relative. For every negative there is a positive. Greed, Hate and Anger will be our destruction if we allow it to be. I do not give the Voices who preach these negative values any space in my life. I have no TV and listen to music on the Radio. I get the headlines on CNN. I live in the midst of it . I have a job to do and I do it well. My Mother who is 102 watches in astonishment the way
we live is very intriguing to her. She has taught me so much about our past as did my Immigrant In-laws. We need to close our mouths and learn from those who have lived before us.
Our Elders are now living in Nursing Homes due to our common
greed. I visit foreign countries and there their elders are held in
high regard. How long will it be before we are the elders? Will
we take our place in the same nursing home that our parents now occupy. Will the many deadly drugs that our parents are
prescribed be injected into our bodies? Everyone gets to be young but not everyone lives to be old, It is wonderful to have
lived long enough to know that I was much smarter at 16 than I am today. It is tragic to see the amount of money spent on trying to hold back the years. Alternative Medecine as the
Europeans have proved is the only way to slow it down. They
are much healthier than we are, lead a much slower pace of life.
