"Summer of Sam":I hope you do get to see it (it is itself a bit lewd, by the way);
I was amazed. We went someplace close to the hotel, because of the weather, and it looked very nice, but it was disappointing. I tend to stay in mid- town, so I have not gotten to Little Italy. Years ago, I went to Mama Leone's a couple of times, and enjoyed that quite bit;
I had some difficulty imagining the place as a disco myself.Since the second act is more dramatically powerful, it is a shame you had to miss it, but you caught most of the great numbers<g>. It was a bit more debauched than I would have liked, especially with my son there, but he is fifteen, and I took him to "Rent", so he'll live<VBG>;
I think it would be nice to see Brian Dennehey in Salesman. Years ago, I say Robert Proskey as Willy Loman at Washington's Arena Stage, but the pacing was dreadful, and I fell asleep (very embarrassing);
I discovered that so many people leave town around the Fourth that it is a good time to go, and for the last two years we lucked out on weather. This year was horrible, but thank God for air- conditioning!
