Interesting opinion on yahoo board--

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Why Intuit will buy CheckFree>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

by: Willy_Trader (42/M/Alpharetta, GA) 7377 of 7380

1. The already own 20% of the company.

2. Intuit and CheckFree are starting to compete in the EBPP area.

3. Intuit pays CheckFree a substantial amount of money to process payments via Quicken/Quickbooks/Quicken.com every month. This payment will only increase as subscribers rise. An acquisition will save them this money.

4. Intuit is sitting on a pile of cash (1.8 billion) according to Steet.com article.

To buy the remaining 80% of CKFR would cost around
2.2 billion at $50/shr
2.6 billion at $60/shr
3.0 billion at $70/shr

5. Checkfree stock trading off 50% from highs

6. The AOL deal will probably be thru Intuit. This will greatly increase subscriber growth thus increase payment to CKFR as mentioned in #3 above.

We look for CheckFree to announce portal agreements with companies such as Yahoo!, America Online, and other major
portal either by themselves or through their partnership with Intuit.

7. Any deal with Excite@Home will also probably be thru Intuit based on their current strategic partnership.

8. Pete mentioned Checkfree is looking at business to business payments in last conference call. Intuit is a leader in this area with Quickbooks. See following release on partnership with M&I Data (competitor to CKFR)

(IMHO)
