6. The ability to shift easily and quickly to a chat mode would be terrific. Instead, many of the people use other tools such as ICQ or AOL's message service. Why not offer their own integrated system with the site?

I don't have aol or icq, but I assume you are talking about standard chat rooms... SI has those, for example on the Dell thread its called the "Dell Clubhouse", appears in red beside the earnings on the thread banner. The problem is nobody ever goes to the chat rooms on SI, I don't know why. A lot of posts are keepers and maybe the sense is that the best posts won't be in the chatroom anyway for that reason?
