Andrew, it's printing your own money, AAPL is so reliable.

Thanks for reminding me about the tax situation. I can see that ai need to start doing some calculations again, and soon.

Part of me thinks that we may be entering a new phase for Apple. I'll have a lot better feeling after MacWorld, but I'd like to share an idea I have.

The biggest thing since the television is probably going to be the internet. And that means everyone would have to have it. The barriers to access are economic status, and computer literacy. Because computers are still too hard to use. A telephone is a lot easier- you pick it up, dial, presto.

So, the next big thing that grabs serious markets is ease of use. Maybe you need easy and stylish- I'm no expert. Fancy paint sells, I have learned.

My thought is that Apple has the lock on "easy to use."

But it is not going to be an OS*, Sonata, or OSX system that is going to do it- it must be much easier than that. A real appliance.

Microsoft had a shot with WINCE, and they totaly blew it. They couldn't make a doornob that was easy to use, it's not their style.

Maybe IBM or Sun can do it with JAVA. But Apple has the know how to make a real internet appliance, too. It could be a horse race.
