Nations are steered by ideas, a philosophy (or lack of one), values (or lack of same), and people of the mind who create and produce, dragging the rest of humanity behind them (including the mystics -- who kick and scream and complain because they would rather have squatted in caves and drooled in wonder at the points of light in the night sky). 4.
