Nihil, do you think that the fact that there was much bed sharing in the historical past led to more homosexual experimentation? My own belief is that the past was perhaps a wilder place and time than most of us suspect, with fewer rigid boundaries between heterosexuality and homosexuality. All those people sharing beds and everything! Sort of like South American culture, where heterosexual men have sex with men, and do not consider themselves homosexual unless they are the recipient. I also read that in an older English culture (I am not sure what period), there were commitment ceremonies for gay couples.

If anyone knows more about this, I would like to hear it.
