He admits to many things, but the interference goes on. It won't be any time soon that he or they give up the folly that they can do good to the world. What can't ever be allowed is to let the natural forces manage the dynamism of history. They think in the liberal tradition that this would imply anyone's life is futile. As Greenspan gets older he is falling into the trap of age which gets all purists. Finite existence leads the idealism of desire for purpose to a quiet rejection of non-action based on unseen principle.
