The efficacy of the drug (or snake-oil, in this case) can only be proven through clinical trials. They have to take a pool of say 1000 cases with the common cold, give 500 a placebo and the other 500 a dose of Ziscam. Then check compare if the people taking the drug have any faster recovery from the cold than the ones taking the placebo. Can you show me any documented results of clinical trials?
