I'm an EE too, in the field of automation. I don't have a good feel (supporting or rebutting) the technical argument presented in the Yahoo post. I did think it was interesting though. At least it wasn't pure hype like 99% of the garbage at Yahoo. If it is true, it kind of destroys some of the pipe-dream hopes for great future revenue increases based on subscriber income only (using the system as currently designed at least.)
