Mad2, here is my idea WHY and WHEN...too tired to confirm the rules...

This post is for entertainment purposes only :)

Yahoo will tank, this will cause ripples through the INUT world
FUND managers will trip over VC's, INUT founders and LONGS to see who will sell first...MM's/Specialists will hasten the end by 'taking' the risk of the falling knife, most SHORTS will get caught with pant's down, not believing the action

WHY
Yahoo's customers will go 'red' and not be able to afford Yahoo
This will extend outwards to their customers and implode the huge Multi-level marketing mountain called INUT

Retail longs will refuse to 'buy' new VC stocks because of the p&d in the past year, they will wait and eventually buy blue chips or even pay off personal debt

VC's will go haywire and turn start competing with merchant banks for m&a, ideally in the iNUT sector, look for this in a couple of months

Retail brokers will have fewer INUTS to pump and will take retail longs to safer harbours, keeping them as customers rather than promote VC moves into merchant banking

Economy will slow down adding stress, but the main reason will be the refusal of retail longs, the small guy, to buy in

WHEN
Pattern will start October 21st 1999 when earnings are understood for the third quarter of 1999 and take THREE full reporting quarters to complete and be complete by July 21, 2000

Cracks will appear this fall when typical INUT's won't rebound
Yahoo will look nervously at it's top ten customers
Watch for ACTUAL cash on financial statements generated by NEW sales rather than sales of assets/financial instruments/tax credits/mergers
Watch for VC's participating in mergers
Watch for 'unique' asset sharing agreements (web server farms, communications, VPN's, call centres) which will be 'grey' mergers, with savings pumped into cashflow

This entire post is speculation, my opinion and not meant to influence buying or selling of any kind and for entertainment purposes only
ynot ;)
