Just speaking for myself, I don't mind paying a real estate or stock broker's commission or car dealer's mark-up or any other type of sales fee when I feel that value has been added to the transaction by the person charging the fee. In other words, he/she has saved me time or money or found me a more attractive deal than I could have found on my own. But in the case of this caller, there was no value added, only value taken away. The guy was royally ripped off. I applaud Bob for exposing these thieves disguised as "financial planners" -- though as a long-time and regular listener, I admit the calls get a little tedious.
