Thanks for responding. Over the last several years, I've had as many as twenty dividend reinvestment programs (DRIPs). Really, the dividend isn't so important, but the ability to send them money periodically helps. Even if you can send them $100 per month or when you just feel like it. One of my best stocks has been Charles Schwab. I only put $1400.00 over several years, but it grew to a value of over $15,000 before I started taking some profit. I used $4000 of it to fund my wife's and my Roth IRA. Although, I bought a hundred shares recently at $30.00 with a commission of $29.95 looking at the history of Dollar General, it looks like a great stock to send them a $100 periodically. Thanks again.
