Berney; IF a down trend starts , you can short in your IRA , Via mutual funds USPIX, POTSX, & BEARX , But look them over good first as they don't make good daytrading type shorts. POTSX can be reversed with POTCX they track the NDX, USPIX reversed with UOPIX , they are leveraged 2x ( about 1.8) Also your stuck taking closing Navs. Jim
