patwrk,

I agree with you in that Anthony has been successful with some of his picks, and for good reason. Some companies repeatedly tout themselves as being more than they are. What has happened here is that he throws around libelous comments without doing his DD. He has not stated one fact in his posts. Shorting and shorters are not the issue. Stating facts is the issue. It seems that every time he is asked to produce fact to back up his attacks, he reverts to some insulting comment. It is then that he shows that this is one company that he is hyping rather than basing a short on legitimate issues.

I believe that the people posting on SI are a bit more research intensive than other boards. My experience on the various threads that I follow is that most of the posters on SI make decisions on valid attributes of a companies product, management, industry, earnings, growth, etc, and not just the fact that a stock has risen a few hundred % and they want a piece of the pie. I imagine that most do dd before jumping in, based on the number of posts compared to RB, etc.

I also believe that everyone is entitled to a position based on fact. Reread posts from Gator and roofman for specific details on the companies prospects, achievements, overalll outlook and progress. I did my dd when I jumped in big in April and May. I have been trading shares recently to take advantage of the swings, leaving my core holdings intact. I wish all luck in their investments (short and long).

Brian
