presently are on the ns1.netnames.net server and run as an alias for messagemedia.com, and on ns2.netnames.net and run as an alias for ns1.0mm.com

If nothing else, this confirms Messagemedia's ownership of these domains, something yet to be resolved to my satisfaction with messagemedia.de .

One plausible reason for servers outside the US can be found here. I'd like to draw your attention to the section titled maintaining the flow...

Here is how Qwest/EUnet view the issue of multiple servers strategically placed...
