I know a little bit about the technology from working in related fields and can say with quite a bit of confidence that ALL SOFTWARE protection schemes are TRIVIAL to compromise.

The question isn't whether a hardware solution will beat a software solution, but whether the WAVX Embassy chip solution is secure enough. Because every other implementation has failed miserably.
