Rick the Vet, Someone, somewhere, recently posted that an application for a 40,000 tonne bulk was to be made soon by Winspear....perhaps I could get the ball rolling for some discussion on this issue: Author: teevee -- Date:1999-07-11 10:56:24 Subject: need another bulk? I figure that a decline driven down the dyke would generate about 20 tonnes of kimberlite per meter.....1.5 kilometers of decline and crosscut, with two 5000 tonne test mining panels/stopes would generate 40,000 tonnes of mill feed, answer any engineering questions pertaining to roof rock stability, dilution etc., and additional grade and implied value per tonne data.....hmmmmm...to drill, blast, muck 10 meters a day(2 shifts)...thats 200 tonnes per day.......sounds like a about an 8 month program.......are there any active mining engineers on the thread who could comment as to what a program like this could cost all in? regards, teevee PS: this would fit well with the internet rumor about a portable mill being purchased by WSP....
