Jw,Spots

Success! Atleast partially.... My workgroups are now on in my Network neighborhood. I have selected certain files to transfer..and have had some success transferring to Lan computer station #2. I tried to install Browsemaster on #2 but had a problem....w/ the .exe program...so I can now work on that stuff. I'm done for the day...and will work out the bugs...of file transferring/printing later

Spots, once I added netbeui->ethernet adapter and did the identification and file sharing on the 2nd reboot I was successful
Earlier I hadn't identified my main computer as the Host. I just placed a shortcut of my network on my desktop. My network is now among the hundred others using a cable modem in the area. I will have to strengthen my password for security for now.

Thanks Everyone! who helped...

jw, I have both cable modem access and a v90 56K modem access through an isp. I agree if you just have one phone line some of that new software will let you run 2 computers...BUT as the link I posted stated I don't think you would want to because of bandwidth...one computer on 56K is bad enough...Cable is 512K, faster if you want it up to 2mb but that would cost about $600 a month! But if you networked about 10 computers you would probably need that.

shoot now I can't find where I edit my file sharing?<g> Found it Netwatcher.....

Jeff
