If Greenspan increases discount rates, the dollar will rise -- not fall. The only way the dollar will fall is if we decrease out trade deficits which is hard to do since that is a long term structural problem because
a)Our savings rate is so damn low and
b)Almost all the industrialized economies are too slow

I don't see the weakening of the dollar anytime soon
