Evidently I didn't make my point! I have no alternative but to have Cablevision as my cable company - they only offer cable modem service in CT and NY (small segments) - I'm in Brielle, New Jersey! Comcast Cable has been offering @home cable service in New Jersey for more than a year - Comcast offers this service less than one mile to the north, west, and south of my service area - I don't have the option of switching to Comcast from Cablevision. If I could switch to Comcast - I would have switched over a year ago! Half mile to to east is an ocean - who has cable rights there - I don't know - care to guess? Monopolies are great - AREN'T THEY!
