Ed - Do you or anyone else on the thread use Fidelity? Has Fidelity changed its margin requirements? I have a small margin account, 300 AOL, nothing else, and margin debt of $5408, tailored to AOL in the 90s and Fidelity's 20% margin policy. My most recent on-line balance statement says "Equity Buying Power = $32,760", which implies a total margin of $38,168, i.e., about 50% of market value (300 shares) = $38,475. What's going on? Are other on-line trading vendors more consistent on margin policy?

Jim
