Dear Dr. Epstein:

Reread my original post that started this discussion and you will find that I was not making any reference to Zicam. I was responding to your reference to silver nitrate as a homeopathic medicine, which is, I believe, incorrect.

Your sensitivity on this subject led you to believe that I was referring to your pet product that was studied at a university in California (Why can't you tell us the name of the university? That won't jeopardize the publication of the study.) and the results of the study which will be published in the NEJM. Well, it hasn't been published yet and we don't even know if it has been accepted for publication. When and if it is published we can see what the medical community makes of it. Until it is published, I guess you can make any claims you want about it.

I won't take up the thread's time anymore on the subject of homeopathy, but if anyone is interested I would refer you here (note to Dr. Epstein-this site does not discuss Zicam or pass judgement on GUMM):
