Lee,

I own a Dell Inspiron 3500. 366 mhz and lots of ram. 14.1 inch display. I love it. Its a great display and is fairly light. Its fast and thats important for the net. Most important is to get lots of ram, fast processor and I prefer a modem card (a credit card modem that slips into a slot on the puter)Modem cards can be swapped easily if technology changes. They make a 7000 series that I have also had, but its too big and heavy. they also make a bigger screen - 15" but that is too big also. Whether a Dell or other brand don't sacrific ram, fast processor and size. Good luck
