Also helps you to avoid the emotions of the crowd and the herd mentality.
I am a survivor of many Latin American "crisis", and I have been able to read many of the debacles well ahead of time, people <including friends and similar> who would not believe me about the things I suggested it would happen, dismissed me not one, but several times. They now suffer the consequences of their own stupidity. Many call it "luck" but I know different. Indeed, such experience helps me in the fact that I have already begun seeing many similarities, and an incredible shift in the mentality in the US. Unfortunately towards a third world type of mentality.
But I have seen this movie before
As for the market today..... yes, the danger increases of a major set back, however, there are many circumstances and events, still in favor of the bulls for possibly, a number of years yet, and then it will be time to retreat, and watch the slaughter....
The stakes get higher, and so do the risk.
Then, as it is usual... the movie seems to repeat itself, over, and over, and over... again... the time for the pickings will return... cheaper.
I do not pretend to know when the exact moment of the crash will come.... but it will come, one must be patient, alert, and ready to switch strategies in a flash...
Keep your eyes open.
And yes, I am well diversified, so a complete market melt down will not sting me, in fact, at times I think it would be a great thing for it to happen as there would be great opportunities, not to mention that an entire generation of Hens would be wiped out !
Problem will be, the soup kitchens of the local missions will swell their membership, and then the very same Hens will start to clamor for yet, more government regulation !!
I am not a "maniac".
Very well, I'll believe you. I take it back.
