He would enjoy the sympathy. EVeryone else says in sarcastic tones, "Oh poor you. Having to go to Europe for a week." ANd it really isn't fun. Five hour dinners with people you don't really know and have to make deals with the next day and keeling over becuase it's 3 am in your body. Taxis in Paris, always a treat, mostly work work work, and then you come home and your wife complains that the grass needs cutting and wants to go out to dinner. ANd the kids say- Hey Dad, 5K run tomorrow? Wanna go rock-climbing? And all you want to do is sleep.
