I like to walk, myself. I've got my regular walks I've developed over the years we've lived here. There's The Circle, which is 1.5 miles. And Lee's Corner And Back, which is two miles. And Through The Woods, which is 3 miles. And The Square, which is 3.5 miles. And Through The Park, which is 6 miles. Before I Got Sick, I was doing Through The Park a couple of times a week. Now I just do The Circle, I have worked my way up to every other day, and if the weather stays cooler, I could easily do every day, which means that it's probably time to bump up the distance.

I have developed a semi-meditative state, of just observing as I walk. When I walk through the neighborhood, I look at architecture, and flowers, and gardens, and I observe the clouds.

I remember reading that many of the great writers used to walk when they had writer's block, and work out their plots. It stimulates the circulation to the brain, walking does, and clears the mind.
