This company, Photronics (PLAB), is in the business of making photo-masks for conventional IC manufacturing. The name of the company has no relation to photonics, although they may supply masks to LUMM for use with PHASIC (I don't know).

I found this poking around on Yahoo! this morning:

Note that it was posted on the Ciena thread. There is no useful information, just more visibility for LUMM.
