Will Note conversion aftermath affect MaxPain ? iMACs sell well in Japan

MaxPain at $40/shr , but are other forces at play ?

Some perceptions . Last October's drop from $39 to $28 after earnings had to send a warning signal to AAPL's management .

Since then stock fund ownership spread from one large holder to at least six and the notes were called . The notes were a "insurance" policy to continual short players who could always count on some replacement at $29.

Jan-Feb's rash of insider filings (not all sold) with a lack of positive news gave a early opportunity for any "short" NoteHolders to cover before AAPL converted them 6/99 .

Question now is has AAPL's management shifted to a "pro" shareholder bias ? Possibly because a rising share value attracts and holds good employees , plus assures customers of the company's stability .

Last Friday's 8 K filing priced Employee options at $45.88 for 5 mln shares and may have drawn a line in the sand for the Market Makers to recognize before earnings .

Speculation , and due respect to Ben for his work , but has the $40 MaxPain "circumstance" been turned into a trap to encourage the "mo" players (news investors) to sell as usual at earnings ?

This coming Wed - Mon period should be interesting .

Enough BS , iMACs are selling well in Japan:
