So what you're saying is that we should be xenophobic maniacs when it comes to meeting otherworldly being (whether divine or simply extra-terrestrial). This is because you believe they may be angels and therefore must be fallen ones and therefore must be up to no good... sounds a bit un-Christian of you to simply assume everyone you meet is evil because they don't fit your perceptions.
Do I believe the Bible was divinely inspired, yes. Do I believe that not all of it was factual - YES! Divinely inspired tales are not necessarily factual. They are written to teach a lesson, that lesson at the time being not to trust outsiders, ones larger than you, ones with deformaties, etc... You must keep in mind that the early Judiac traditions were very bigotted. So, my belief in the Bible not diswayed, I still do not have to believe that Angels actually exist at all. The term most often used is "Messanger" anyway, not Angel... a messanger of God... which could mean that the person heard a voice, saw visions, or even interpretted natural events as "Godly" events.
I would also like to inquire how my belief or disbelief in ET's has any bearing on my belief in a higher power?

- Simply by waging a campaign of deception - with the intent of leading people away from the truth about God. This is done by establishing enough bases for people to beleive in falsehood. (whether that be UFO's, Ghosts or any other mysterous method).-

and the greatest trick the devil ever played was to make people believe he did not exist. As long as you are aware that there is evil it does not matter beans whether there are ET's or not. ... and I would like to point out that Ghosts do have specific mention in the Bible as existing (but not being a Bible thumper I cannot/will not quote verse). If Angels wish to take on the visage of UFO's maybe this is because they know that UFO's really do exist and they want to give them a bad rap before they arrive so that we will be un"Christian"like and try to kill them all before they have a chance to help us get closer to God.... now there's a thought.
