Yep, I am the same. Your representation of my position is poor. What I said was that unless a more compelling principle is violated, the majority ordinarily gets its way, and the loser must lump it. The only principle I found relevant was that against establishment, which, by extension, implies against proselytizing. I argued that the posting of the Ten Commandments does not "rise to the level" of either proselytizing or establishment, and therefore that the majority should be allowed to post them. I also said that it would be good policy to allow every substantial group within a school to post something from its "wisdom literature" with the similar intent of encouraging decency. I lately modified that, based on a significant objection, to say that it would be incumbent to represent diverse groups in such a manner due to the danger of seeming to connect adherence to monotheism to full citizenship....
Anyway, the simple truth is that the man hitting on the woman in such a manner was the governor, and he had a state policeman usher her in. The woman in question was a state employee, and from a social class likely to be easily intimidated in such a circumstance. All of the details are relevant, and some of them touch upon matters of law....
