Beatie and Osborn LLP Files Lawsuit Against New Era of Networks Inc.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 12, 1999--The following is an announcement from Beatie and Osborn LLP:

ATTENTION: If you were a shareholder of New Era Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:NEON - news) between April 21, 1999 and July 6, 1999 YOU HAVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 7, 1999 to RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE.

On July 9, 1999 a lawsuit was commenced in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado on behalf of all persons (the ''Class'') who purchased or otherwise acquired shares of New Era between April 21, 1999 and July 6, 1999 (the ''Class Period'').

The Complaint names New Era and certain of its officers for violations of the Federal Securities laws. The defendants are alleged to have issued a series of materially false and misleading financial statements regarding the Company, causing New Era's shares to be inflated artificially during the Class Period.

Following the Company's July 7, 1999 surprise disclosures that the Company was not growing as previously represented, the price of New Era's common stock dropped by more than 50%.

If you are a member of the Class who purchased New Era shares and incurred damages as a result of defendants' alleged misconduct, you may, no later than Sept. 7, 1999 seek to participate in this action as a lead plaintiff. In order to serve as a lead plaintiff, however, you must meet certain legal requirements.

A copy of the complaint filed with the Court detailing the above-described allegations, as well as documents necessary to participate as a lead plaintiff, are available via e-mail or fax by contacting Beatie and Osborn LLP.
