<Hey, this guy is promoted as CEO of a new company. Based on your logic, a company will be in trouble when one of its executives is named CEO of another company. Hello, can you read English news? > I am not sure if this is a move up from him, since he will be a CEO of a small unknown company and leaves behind a very visible high responsibility position. Why would this change happen ? I will list the possibilities. A. Major problems surfaced in Dresden, and he has been fired. B. He sees an impossible rocky course ahead of him, and he wants to bail out now. C. Personality clash with superiors. This will be a loss for AMD since he is an industry stalwart and his experience and ability will be a major loss for AMD. His replacement is an excellent choice. Unfortunately the parallels are troublesome. He is the same person who rescued Fab 25 when it was in deep trouble 15 months ago. Does Dresden need to be bailed out also? The news is ominous, but I hope for AMD's sake that my fears are groundless.
