Gary, Never trust the bid and asked until you out in your order and your get the real time figures. The spread can be large in thinly traded stocks but SFE is usually pretty close. My advice is always use Limit orders instead of maket orders, that way you can never be ripped off by the market makers palying with the spreads. JMHO
