I don't post on this thread very often, but I have followed it on and off for about six months. And as someone said a few posts back, one of the problems on this thread (and any other) is that we don't know who the people are or what their purpose is. We read posts filled with rumors and heresay, but we know nothing about the people writing them.
This in itself is very dangerous. It would be very easy for someone to load up on Bre-x puts and come on this thread and sh&* all over the stock (like some are doing), hoping to drive it down just enough to make some money. And don't think for a minute that there are not people doing just that. In these emotional times you have to be very careful who you believe. Trust nobody. Make your own decisions.
Remember, all the scum come out when they see a chance to make a quick buck. And believe me, all the scum are at this party. This is a traders dream. Stock movements of 10-20% in a day. Someone is making a fortune off this volatility, and they don't want it to stop. Ever notice that every time things almost get straightened out, a rumor surfaces and sends the stock in turmoil again.
The pros and the fear mongers are running this show. Don't be surprised if a few people fess up to spreading rumors for the past six months so they could make a few million on this stock.
And by the way, I just bought puts on the TSE friday and I hear that interest rates are going up 4% on Tuesday. This will no doubt cause that stock market correction we are all waiting for. So, everybody sell all their stock Monday. Please, please, Mama needs a new pair of shoes.
See how easy that is. By the way, I hope nobody believes what I just said. But on this thread, who knows.
By the way, I don't know who is on this thread, but I can tell that some of you are writers of fiction by the plots and yarns you are spinning in your posts. Keep it up. There could be a few literary scouts on this thread. Maybe some of you will get a contract to write a mystery novel.
Until the truth comes out I am: Holding the faith.
