CustomTracks Soared on Analyst, Web Rumors, L.A. Times Says

Dallas, July 12 (Bloomberg) -- CustomTracks Corp.'s stock has been driven by the comments of a little-known analyst and Internet message-board rumors, the Los Angeles Times reported. The company's shares rose as high as 90 in May from 3 1/2 in October based on Internet messages asserting its promise, as well as the positive comments of analyst David Weinstein of Boca Raton, Florida-based Joseph Charles & Associates, who told the paper that he holds CustomTracks stock though he doesn't know what technology the company possesses. The Internet company, which has changed its business plan from digital data distribution to music distribution to collecting payments over the Internet to e-mail, has yet to produce a product, the paper said.

Dallas-based CustomTracks last month received approval from the U.S. Commerce Department for its ZixIt Digital Signature and encryption technology.
