Thanks for the response, Bill. As for your opinion being "biassed" -- whose opinion is not? There is so little hard information out there about the Y2K situation in Asia that one has little choice other than to be "biassed" in one direction or another. :-)

What does seem a bit strange to me, however, is why the Asian stock markets are performing so well -- this past month better than markets anywhere else, including the US -- if "expectations have already been adjusted for any Y2K messes that come down the road," as you suggest they may have been.
