Don't see TEOTWAWKI happening in Asia. Perhaps another "Asian Crisis" which causes market corrections across the world leading to another global recession. But that should surprise no one after the events of the past year.

Hmmm... End of the world is such an extreme term and one I doubt will see anywhere on the planet. But I do see a lot of potential political unrest.

However, I agree that Asia may be due for another crisis of confidence and it could be more severe than before because now people will have even less faith in their financial institutions (or their gov'ts).

The question will be what initially triggers the event.

IMO, this is a topic that may be a good focus for what to expect in Asia this fall. I know first-hand that the national leadership in the region still has little idea of where their vulnerabilities are, and are still in the process of forming contingency plans.

Regards,

Ron
