AMD will never be a real problem for Intel. AMD stock was one of the worst yielding stock for the past fifteen years! Like National Semiconductor, I wouldn't be surprised if AMD quit the PC chip business in five years. AMD reported horrible losses lately. INTC's price cut will further squeeze AMD. There is no point in gaining market share if it hurts your bottom line. AMD has no other winners to offset its losses. They are in much bigger trouble than INTC.
