Kap,

<With the numbers that Kumar is forecasting it seems strange to me that he has a strong buy on INTC. If he is right on the numbers the "street" my disagree with his recommendation on Wednesday.>

Based on the stock action in the last two weeks, I don't know if the numbers matter. The expectations have been effectively lowered down to 53 cents. I think a lot depends on forward guidance and I am expecting that to be not too good - mostly because of cost disadvantage that Intel will incur staying with PIII (because of the CuMine delay). Selling PIIIs at increasingly lower ASPs without corresponding cost drop got to have a serious impact on the gross margins - unless Intel is planning on changing the price curve! (wouldn't that be interesting!!).
