A few things from the go.com board: First, the Preisler comments were perceived as being way off base, because he completely discounted the premium for dis taking seek three years before it had the right to buy 51% at $50 per share. Dis still would have had to buy the balance at market or better. Long termers are not pleased. This is a stock that had been in the 80's until a transitory downturn. What happened to that value and to all the people who bought in the 60-80's? They're screwed.

Further, Eisner's comment was that when he filed the 13d, seek was at 30, so the shareholders already gave themselves a premium when it moved up to 50. In other words, seek was fairly valued at 30 (forget about the fact that it traded as high as 100) and he's doing us a favor.

There are numerous lawsuits already filed, which many of the shareholders on go.com are seeking to join. There is blood on the tracks here and the overwhelming consensus is that seek shareholders were sold out and will vote no to this deal. Not because of the lcos deal, but because this deal has killed seek and shareholder value for us.

Also, many of the posts negative to the deal were censored on go.com.
