Excerpts from NEALZ NUZE By Neal Boortz July 13, 1999
BEHIND ALL THE FIGHTING OVER HEALTH CARE LEGISLATION
Please, just remember this. To Democrats and socialists in congress, and their assorted fellow travelers, the ultimate goal is to place all medical care in this country under the control of the government. Once you make the people dependent on government for their medical care, the battle for socialism is all but won.
So --- how to go about this? Not too hard, really. Just use legislation and regulation to destroy the ability of the private sector to deliver medical services. In other words, create a medical care crisis -- a disaster. Then ride forward on your white steed to gallantly save "the people" from this horrible situation.
ANOTHER SIGNAL OF OUR DECLINE
The word is that the contributions are literally pouring into Hillary's campaign coffers. This is a woman who should, but for political correctness, have been indicted for a variety of crimes. A woman who, by many accounts, oversaw the collection of hundreds of confidential FBI files. A woman who tolerated the sexual philandering of her husband so that she wouldn't lose her all-important political power … and contributions are "pouring" into her campaign.
God help this country.
QUOTA T.V.
Now we learn that the NAACP is upset over the fall lineup on network1 television. Not enough blacks and other minorities. They want the government to do something. (The NAACP made no mention of the over-representation of blacks on many cable and satellite television channels.)
Tell you what. If the NAACP absolutely demands proportional representation on television, let's give it to them; not only in the terms of pure numbers, but also in terms of the types of roles to be played.
From now on, when a violent criminal is shown on television let's make sure that in the majority of cases that criminal is black.
Let's deal with the commercials too. You've seen those television commercials were people are breaking into cars and burglarizing businesses and homes? Notice how these criminals are always portrayed as white? Come on, now. You and I know that's not the most likely scenario. Let's go for the realism and portray them as black also.
Come on, now. Fair is fair. Give minorities their appropriate representation in the sitcoms and TV boardrooms, but also their proportional representation as violent criminals and welfare freeloaders.
What Kweisi Mfume and his crowd don't comprehend (or they just chose to ignore) is that new network programming is selected according to statistics about who watches television and what they watch. The networks are well aware of the black-centered programming on some cable channels and take this into account in their programming decisions. It's not racism. It's network officials answering the demands of the viewing public.
GETTING OLD
It's as if people like Queasy Nfume and Joseph Lowery sit up at night just thinking of the next race card they can play.
Remember ---- if there were no phony racial issues to exploit, these people would be out of a job. God forbid the Lowrey's and Nufume's of this world should actually have to engage in a productive pursuit for a living.
DUBYA'S DEED
Ah, politics.
The left now thinks that they have something that will really sink the George W. Bush campaign juggernaut.
It seems that Dubya sold a Dallas home in 1995. During the closing of that sale Dubya signed a warranty deed conveying title to the buyer. As it turned out, the warranty deed contained the wording of an old and unenforceable restrictive covenant. The wording on the warranty deed that Dubya signed said, in part, "... premises shall be used for private swelling purposes only and by white persons only, not excluding bona fide servants if any race..."
This particular restrictive covenant It was not at all uncommon on some property deeds prior to the civil rights movement. The covenant was attached to the Bush property before George W. was even born. It's that old.
The fact is that these old restrictive covenants are absolutely non-binding and of no force and effect whatsoever.
Now I've done many many real estate closings. I sat across the table and watched literally thousands of people sign warranty deeds. I can tell you that I do not remember one single occasion where a person selling a piece of property actually sat down and read the warranty deed they signed at the closing. Not one. It just doesn't happen, folks.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Democrats will use this warranty deed to bring the race issue into the Dubya campaign. If they do, will they be honest enough to tell us that similar restrictive covenants appeared on documents signed by such wonderful Democrats as Ted Kennedy and Diane Finestein?
POOR MINORITIES --- THEY JUST CAN'T MAKE IT
Numbers out yesterday. Over one-half of the motels in the United States are now owned by immigrants from India.
See what can be done when you spend more time working to take advantage of the opportunities that exist in this country, and a lot less time whining about how rough things are for you?
DID YOU KNOW…..
......that in the United States (the land of the free) once you reach a certain age you are forbidden by the Imperial Federal Government to use your own money to pay for your own medical care in a way that you might, as a free American, think is in your own personal best interests?
Just thought you'd like to know. Now, get out there and wave a flag.
WHO SAID ….
…. "Every time Job Bob Johnson, age 15, walks into his high school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with a gun, do you want to devote federal resources to that? Do you want to stop up federal courts for that? Do you want to wind up using federal prosecutors for that?
Give up? It was none other than Brian Morton, the spokesman for Handgun Control Inc. He was responding to the fact that the federal government doesn't even enforce the gun control laws it already has on the books … including the numerous laws that make it a felony for a kid to take a gun into school. In the last three years over 6,000 kids were caught sneaking guns into schools. The U.S. Justice Department prosecuted only 17 of them.
Handgun Control has an answer to the problem. They want more laws.
Now,please. Would someone please tell me what sense that makes? The Handgun Control, Inc. spokesman tells us about how absurd it would be to expect the federal government to actually prosecute people who violate federal gun laws … while on the other hand they keep asking for more such laws.
This would be logical only to a liberal.
By the way … it's also a federal crime (a felony) for a convicted felon to lie on an application to purchase a firearm. Since Clinton became president over 400,000 felons and other bad actors have lied on their applications … less than .003% of them have been prosecuted by Clinton's Justice Department.
Yeah … more laws. That's JUST what we need.
WHO STOLE GOVERNMENT? WRONG QUESTION.
The Council for Excellence in Government released a survey yesterday. It shows that 38 percent feel special interests are to blame for what's wrong with government today. 29 percent blame media negativity, and 24 percent each blame elected officials and political parties.
Here's a novel concept: Perhaps these people should be looking to themselves for the answer.
The American public has shown that it has no interest in participating in the republic. Falling voter turnouts are clear evidence of that. Furthermore, Americans have put themselves on autopilot--they don't want to bother to consider the issues. In an election, it's all about popularity and image and promising voters the most goodies. That's all you need to win the vote nowadays. The average American is a nonparticipant in the governing of America. So the government Americans get is exactly what they deserve.
It's the horrible insensitive truth. Did special interests and politicians steal the government from you, or did you simply give it away?
WHAT CAN WE DO?
The Taiwanese government announced yesterday that it would no longer support the idea that China and Taiwan are two parts of the same country. The normally-rosy relationship between the two governments has become strained as a result. If Taiwan pushes for an independent identity, China could invade.
The United States has enjoyed good relations with Taiwan, but would they come
to Taiwan's defense in the event of a Chinese invasion?
Not likely. China and its nuclear missile program (with the help of Clinton-backed technology transfers from the U.S.) has the United States by the short hairs. In a confrontation with China, the U.S. would have to think twice about siding with Taiwan, especially if it didn't want nuclear warheads to start falling on Los Angeles.
That's the new balance of power in Asia, thanks to Bill Clinton.
LOS ALAMOS SCIENTIST GETTING OFF EASY?
Now it appears Wen Ho Lee is going to be prosecuted for computer crimes
instead of espionage. Espionage carries a life imprisonment sentence; computer crimes carry a lesser penalty. The reason? Clinton administration officials claim that the FBI mishandled the investigation early on, making it less likely that Lee would be successfully prosecuted for espionage. Some Department of Justice officials fear they'll be singled out for prosecuting Lee because he's Chinese.
Now --- the REAL reason? Fully prosecuting Wen Ho Lee for his espionage activities creates a possibility would mean that concise evidence would have to be introduced as to who did just what and when they did it. This would illustrate the fact that the bulk of this espionage occurred under Bill Clinton and was enabled by the lax security policies of Clinton and his appointees. The goal? Get this man through the justice system as fast as they can before Clinton is harmed any more than he already is.
GEORGE WASHINGTON: DEADBEAT DAD AND RAPIST?
The New York Times thinks so. In two reports, it reports that Washington might have been the father of West Ford, born to a slave who lived on Washington's half-brother's Virginia estate. West Ford's descendants accuse Washington of raping the slave woman, named Venus.
There's no evidence that Washington and Venus even met. The Times admits
that. Furthermore, historians have long held that Washington was sterile.
So ‘sup with this smear of George Washington? It's probably the same reason that Thomas Jefferson was so sullied in the press last year. Clinton apologists love these stories. If they can bring the country's founding fathers down to Clinton's level, then they have an easier time justifying Clinton's sins. Hey, other presidents were just as dirty--Bill Clinton's not all that bad.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Matt Drudge, commenting on the media attention given to his new Sunday night show on ABC Radio, said, "You would think with all the commotion it's caused, I would have had sex with my intern, lied to a grand jury and lied to Congress, but no: All I am is a little guy who's going to have a talk show on Sunday night, and the New York Times puts it on page A-11."
