Rochester Energy completes Harken Energy asset sale; appointment

Mr. William Trickett reports
International Rochester Energy has completed its previously announced
transaction with Harken Energy Corporation for the sale of all its
Colombian assets. As consideration for the sale, the company received 2.6
million shares of Harken common stock and settlement of all amounts owing
to Harken. Rochester will now direct its energies toward the appraisal,
acquisition and development of western Canadian oil and gas properties to
complete its transition to a producing oil and gas company.
John Loh has been appointed to the company's management team as
vice-president, engineering/operations. Mr. Loh brings 38 years of oil and
gas experience in engineering, production and general management, most of
which was obtained with senior producers. Mr. Loh's first priority will be
to evaluate western Canadian oil and gas properties which may come
available for investment by Rochester.
William A. Trickett, Rochester's president, stated "John Loh's broad oil
and gas background will be invaluable to the company as it executes its new
strategy for growth."
