Tom Cruise To Star in Death Race 3000 As Kanakaris Makes Internet History With Death Race 2000 Online Movie Of The Week
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Jul 13, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE via COMTEX) -- TomCruise is set to star in Death Race 3000 for Paramount Pictures as Kanakaris Communications (OTC BB: KANA) makes Internet history by presenting Death Race 2000, a Roger Corman cult classic satirizing a futuristic society starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone, as its first Online Movie of the Week. After making a cameo appearance in Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming New Line Cinema picture Magnolia, Tom Cruise will re-team with Anderson on a remake of Roger Corman's Death Race 2000. The remake will be co-produced by C/W Productions and developed as a starring vehicle for Cruise.
