William:

That is correct; as I see it, owning a stock has a lot to do
with how you personally feel about its long-term prospects.

Value Line is very often way off the market and, after all,
those are just opinions like ours; maybe their opinions are
researched a little better but they aren't necessarily more
accurate.

Several of my best stock returns are ones I bought when they
were "out of favor" with everyone, Value Line included. All
those analysts serve only as investment "tools" and need to
be measured against other resources including right here on
SI where I've found some of the best information.

There are a lot of very smart investors who know their business
right here on this thread so I never sell anybody short.

(By the way, you are also correct about T's wireless breakthrough:
they are the largest wireless operator in the country since they
bought McCaw and this new technology is rumored to be a major step
forward. It's going to cost billions to deploy and will have to
be cost-competitive with and as reliable as telephone service is
now but, if it works out, T's growth may explode...if so, someday
I'll be looking back and saying T was another one I missed.)
