ACD Systems Chooses Accent to Provide Software Localization and Translation Services
Accent's Internet-Based Services and Automated Localization Tools Led ACD Systems to Select Accent as Their Localization Company
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Accent Software International (OTC Bulletin Board: ACNTF - news, ACNUF - news) today announced that ACD Systems Ltd. has chosen Accent to translate three software products into French, German, Korean and Japanese. ACD is utilizing Accent's software localization tool, Loc@le 2.0, to manage the software translation process, as well as Accent's worldwide network of human translators to provide high quality human translation.
''As ACD expands their sales in European and Asian markets, they have recognized the vital importance of offering localized products,'' says Todd Oseth, president and CEO. ''Our Internet technology is giving more companies, like ACD, the means to reach global markets simultaneously in multiple languages.''
''As the Internet grows, demand for our image viewing and messaging software is increasing in new markets overseas,'' explains David Hooper, vice president of software development for ACD Systems. ''We know we need to translate our products for sale in other countries, and Accent Software stood out as the one localization company that had the real solutions we were looking for. Accent's automated tools and rapid Internet-based translation services will allow us to reduce the time it takes to get our products to the market and reduce our overall development costs.''
Accent's Loc@le 2.0 assists software developers in translating, or localizing, their software by providing administrative and management tools that help manage the complex translation process. Loc@le 2.0 analyzes the user-interface of any C/C++ computer program and generates a database of all the text strings requiring translation. Loc@le 2.0's built-in glossaries translate common computer phrases and Loc@le 2.0 then enables the remaining strings to be bundled in a format that is easy for translators to use while translating software text strings. More importantly, by using the Accent's Web site, www.LanguageWare.net, companies can simply upload Loc@le 2.0 files to Accent for rapid translation.
