As for why AOL doesn't buy out a company like x-stream, here are some thoughts. I worked at an ISP for a long time, often it is easier to build a network from the ground up, then to try to migrate it along with its users over to your network. AOL may believe it is easier to start fresh and attract users away from the other ISPs, well just my thoughts. Thanks.
