StarBase's Roundtable Software Now Exclusively Sold by Progress

Corporation (Nasdaq: SBAS) and Progress(R) Software Corporation
(Nasdaq: PRGS), today announced a comprehensive new sales and marketing
agreement for the Roundtable software products from StarBase. Under the terms
of the new agreement, Progress Software and StarBase have formed a
cooperative, team sales and marketing program to more effectively sell
Roundtable products, Roundtable TSMS(R) and Roundtable Lite(R), into the
Progress Software customer base, while at the same time improving service and
support to Progress customers.

The new agreement is expected to improve the promotion of the StarBase

been granted the exclusive right to sell and distribute Roundtable products
and StarBase has agreed to increase direct support to Progress's sales,
pre-sales, and consulting organizations. In addition, the two companies have
begun several co-marketing programs, including bundling StarBase's Roundtable
Lite(R) product with Progress(R) ProVision(TM) Plus.
